DOM - Disk on Module is a Flash (Fast electronic memory) Disk with 40/44 pins IDE/Standard ATA Interface used in computer Hard Disks Drive (HDD). Hence DOM can replace regular HDD or other storage device in embedded/computerized systems, which require highly reliable fast storage disk but do not require many Giga Bytes of storage.

DOM are highly reliable as they do not have any moving parts like regular hard disks and are small in size and light in weight. Hence systems using DOM will rarely crash and offer faster speeds.

You can use DOM like a HDD and install operating systems like Linux, Unix, Windows 98, Win CE, Embedded XP, QNX, RTOS etc. or use it for data storage as per its size. DOM's are available in different memory sizes like 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and more.
